City Seeking Feedback On Roadway Safety
Edina, Minn., May 20, 2025 – The City of Edina seeks input from community members to better inform the City’s Safe & Equitable Mobility Action Plan (SEMAP).
“Over the years, the City has developed a number of strategic transportation safety plans,” explained Transportation Planner Andrew Scipioni. “The SEMAP will help to consolidate and
update these plans for all types of transportation.”
To identify barriers to safe transportation and understand what improvements community members would like to see, the City developed the SEMAP Community Survey to gather real-time information
and feedback.
The survey, which takes about five to ten minutes to complete, gives the community a chance to share individual input on roadway safety. Responses will be used to identify key safety
issues and set priorities for future improvements.
While there is no hard deadline for the survey, the City is hoping for responses by mid-June to move onto the next steps of the project.
“We really want as much input as possible,” said Scipioni. “With more input, we will be able to recommend changes that best reflect the needs of the community.”
