Registration Open for Night to Unite Parties
Edina, Minn., June 6, 2025 – The Edina Police, Fire and Public Works departments will be out in the community for “Night to Unite” Tuesday, Aug. 5. Neighborhoods across the city have
the opportunity to meet and greet Police Officers, Paramedic/Firefighters and Public Service Workers while enjoying time with their neighbors outdoors.
“Night to Unite is an event Firefighters, Public Works and Police Officers look forward to in Edina every summer,” said Community Engagement Officer Nick Donahue. “We cherish the opportunity
to meet with our great residents to share stories and connect.”
Night to Unite is designed to build neighborhood involvement by bringing first responders and communities together and bring awareness to crime prevention and local law enforcement efforts.
Register a neighborhood party online at EdinaMN.gov/NightToUnite.
Last year, Police, Fire and Public Works staff visited around 95 block parties. Party organizers can request a free visit from a police car, fire truck or ambulance, drone team, motor
officer or K-9 officer. Resources may be limited if a large number of neighborhoods participate in the event as in past years. Staff will do their very best to make it to all of the
events.
Night to Unite also provides an opportunity for residents to donate food and school supplies for Volunteers Enlisted to Assist People (VEAP). In 2024, 519 pounds of food and 520 school
supplies were donated at Night to Unite. Police Reserves will pick up donations at registered parties between 6 and 9 p.m. as their schedules allow. If the Reserves can’t make it to
a party, organizers are asked to drop them off at the Edina Police Department, 4801 W. 50th St., later that night or the next day.
