HomeMy WebLinkAboutCops on the CourtContact: Lauren Siebenaler, Senior Communications Coordinator Phone 952-833-9537 • LSiebenaler@EdinaMN.gov • EdinaMN.gov  FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE  Edina Police Launch New ‘Cops on the Court’ Program Edina, Minn., June 20, 2025 – The Edina Police Department is partnering with the Southdale YMCA, 7355 York Ave. S., to host a new “Cops on the Court” basketball program. Participants ages 13-18 will play basketball alongside Edina Police Chief Todd Milburn, Edina Police Officers, community leaders and members, and the Chick-fil-A mascot during a special mini tournament. This free program starts 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, June 25, and will run for four weeks every Wednesday. A membership to the YMCA is required to participate; free youth scholarships are available. Spectators are welcome to watch the first tournaments on June 25, July 2, July 9 and July 16. Another round of the Cops on the Court program is being planned for August 6, 13, 20 and 27. This program is being organized by the Joint Community Police Partnership (JCPP), and is sponsored by Jerry’s Foods, Kowalski’s Market and the Zawadi Center.
