Walk with the Mayor to Be Held July 23
Edina, Minn., June 10, 2025 – July’s Walk with the Mayor will take place 6-7 p.m. July 23 at Bredesen Park, 5901 Olinger Blvd.
The walk will begin by the main parking lot adjacent to the walking path. This event provides an opportunity for community members to come together and see the improvements taking place
around the city’s public parks and to converse and exchange ideas on what’s to come.
“Please join me to walk Bredesen Park on the evening of July 23. The park has made an amazing visual transformation since we removed the buckthorn and other invasive species,” said Hovland. “My
wife and I walked part of it during the Valley View Vibe 5K and I am eager to see the rest of the park as well. I think everyone would enjoy the walk and good conversation as well.”
No prior registration is required to attend the Walk with the Mayor; simply show up at the designated meeting time to walk and talk with Hovland.
Remember to dress for the weather that evening. If the forecast shows rain, the walk will be moved to the Galleria and will begin at the lobby between Cov and Starbucks.
