AUTHORIZING MPCA COMMUNITY RESILIENCE
IMPLEMENTATION GRANT AGREEMENT
WHEREAS, the City of Edina has applied for and received a grant from the Minnesota Pollution
Control Agency under the Implementation Grants for Community Resilience program in the amount of
$500,000 to build five new shade structures as part of the new Fred Richards Park to reduce the urban
heat island effect and provide shade relief,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Edina City Council hereby accepts this grant
and authorizes the City Manager to sign the grant agreement on its behalf.
