Walk with the Mayor to Be Held Aug. 21
Edina, Minn., July 23, 2025 – August’s Walk with the Mayor will take place 6-7 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 21, at Rosland Park, 4300 W. 66th St.
The walk will begin at the playground adjacent to the parking lot. This event provides an opportunity for community members to come together and enjoy the beautiful outdoors while conversing
and exchanging ideas on what’s to come.
“Please join me in the early evening of Aug. 21 for a leisurely walk around Rosland Park,” said Mayor Jim Hovland. “The park is filled with all types of activities to hear and observe,
from the cheerful laughter and splashing sounds of pool activity, to disc golf, pickleball, tennis, walking, running and kids and parents enjoying the amenities of the adaptive playground.
“I hope we have a good number of people who show up for the Walk with the Mayor as there is always great conversation amongst those who come. So, I hope you can join us. Let’s meet by
the playground and enjoy a stroll around the park and the lake.”
No prior registration is required to attend the Walk with the Mayor; simply show up at the designated meeting time to walk and talk with Hovland.
Remember to dress for the weather that evening. In case of rain, the walk will be moved to Southdale Center and will begin at the center court.
