HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution No. 2025-26 Approving Hennepin County Environmental Response Fund CITY OF EDINA HENNEPIN COUNTY, MINNESOTA RESOLUTION NO. 2025-26 APPROVING THE USE OF HENNEPIN COUNTY ENVIRONMENTAL RESPONSE FUND FOR SOUTH HAVEN/SUMMIT POINT RECAPITALIZATION WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Edina has received notice of CommonBond Communities’ intent to rehabilitate and recapitalize the project known as South Haven and Summit Point located at 3400 Parklawn Avenue and 5010 Summit Avenue, respectively. WHEREAS, the City of Edina Housing and Redevelopment Authority has previously approved funding for the project in the amount of $850,000 to be used to fund certain proposed improvements planned for the project; WHEREAS, this investment, amongst others, will allow for the preservation of a valuable source of affordable housing for low-income seniors and people with disabilities; NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Edina, Minnesota that the City of Edina approves the South Haven and Summit Point project concept and supports CommonBond Communities’ application to the Minnesota Brownfields Gap Financing Program which is funded with an Environmental Response Fund grant from the Hennepin County Department of Environmental Services.
