Visit Fire Station 2 ‘Grand Open House’ Oct. 30
Edina, Minn., Oct. 3, 2025 – Pull your Halloween costume out a day early for the Edina Fire Department’s Station 2 Dedication and Open House 4-8 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 30.
“We are excited to invite everyone in to see all of the features of the new Fire Station 2,” said Fire Chief Andrew Slama. “This new community landmark in the southeast quadrant of the
city is designed to meet the needs today and in the future.”
The new Fire Station 2 is at 4401 W. 76th St. The event is free to attend. The Station Dedication will take place from 4 to 4:30 p.m. The open house will begin after the dedication,
around 4:30 p.m. and end at 8 p.m. Accessible parking is available on the west side of Fire Station 2. All other parking is available at the SpartanNash Service Center, 7600 France
Ave. S.; Royal Credit Union, 4446 W. 76th St.; and the shared parking lot of 4444/4200 W. 76th St.
Visitors can trick-or-treat throughout the new station, meet Sparky and Paramedic/Firefighters, eat a free hot dog, jump in inflatables, take a self-guided tour, watch live demonstrations,
spray a fire hose and color at an Edina Art Center station. A live fire demonstration will be held at 5:30 p.m. and kitchen fire demonstrations at 5, 6 and 7 p.m. Visitors will also
be able to meet with the Edina Public Health Division, Edina Police Officers, 911 Dispatchers, members of Minnesota Task Force and community partners!
“The open house is a great opportunity for fire safety education and to showcase what our dedicated members do,” said Fire Marshal Dave Ehmiller. “We are very excited to invite everyone
to Fire Station 2!”
