I. Call to Order
Chair Westlund called the meeting to order at 4:30 p.m.

Members Present: Ann Curtin, Tim Scully, Laura Westlund, Alyssa Fram, Alana Zbaren,
Maxine Steinberg, Caroline Byrd, Jignasha Pandya, Bernadette Piacek-Llanes, Student

Staff Present: Laura Fulton, Recreation Supervisor
3. Approval of Meeting Agenda
Commissioner Curtin made a motion to approve meeting agenda.
Motion seconded by Commissioner Steinberg.

4. Approval of Meeting Minutes

Commissioner Fram made a motion to approve meeting minutes.
Motion seconded by Commissioner Scully.

S. Special Recognitions and Presentations
5.1. Welcome New Commissioner and Student Commissioners
Commission went around the table and introduced themselves to our newest members,
Commissioner Bernadette Piacek-Llanes and Student Commissioners Alvi Buzar Barua
and Julia Peterson.
5.2. Edina Art Grant Recipient: EAAA
Kelly Condit-Shrestha and Aditi Jha, a Senior at Edina High School, presented information
to the commission about the AAPI Month Festival held in May in Rosland Park.

7.1. Workplan Updates
1.1.1 Art Center Colocation
Fulton updated Commission on progress of the library. The current library is under
demolition and a groundbreaking ceremony is being planned for the new building in the
Tutu re.
1.1.2 Edina Art Grant Program
Fram updated the Commission on the progress made by Art Grant recipients.
1.1.3 Review Public Art Opportunities
Fulton updated on the progress of the Art on Loan program. Four new sculptures have
been installed at Centennial Lakes Park along the Edina Promendade.
1.1.4 Commission Participation in Community Events
Commission planned the table and tent for the Fall into the Arts Festival.
1.1.5 Utility Box Art Wraps
Fulton updated Commission on the progress of the utility box art.
1.1.6 City Code Update
Commission discussed City Code update. All comments are due to Fulton no later than
next Friday.
7.2. City Code Discussion

Commission requested clarification on "identifying funding opportunities."

Fulton discussed upcoming programs at the Edina Art Center and reminded
Commissioners about the upcoming meeting schedule.
