Whichever department collects the most food wins bragging rights, and a little friendly rivalry pride. Residents are encouraged to drop off non-perishable food items such as canned goods, pasta, rice, cereal and boxed meals in the lobbies of any of the following locations: Edina Police Department, 4801 W. 50th St. Edina Fire Station 1, 6250 Tracy Ave. Edina Fire Station 2, 4401 W. 76th St. Donations will be accepted daily at Fire Station 1 from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.; daily at Fire Station 2 from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.; and any time of day or night in the Police Department throughout the competition period. “It’s all in good fun, but more importantly, it’s about supporting our neighbors,” said Edina Fire Chief Andrew Slama. “No matter who wins, our community benefits.”Ok All donations will go directly to VEAP to help ensure local families have access to nutritious food during the holiday season.
