The walk will begin at the fountain outside Faherty at 3922 W. 50th St. This event provides an opportunity for community members to come together and explore Edina’s beautiful downtown while exchanging ideas about what’s to come. “With the November walk on the 22nd, we are approaching the heart of the holiday season,” said Mayor Jim Hovland. “In fact, we will be doing the annual holiday tree lighting only a week later at the same location where the walk begins. So, join me and Rebecca Sorenson from the 50th & France Association, and we will tour the District, discuss the changes to come, discuss new business openings, view some shop windows decorated for the holidays and maybe even find a warm beverage somewhere along the way!” The date of November’s Walk With the Mayor was changed from Nov. 15 to Nov. 22. December’s Walk With the Mayor will proceed as scheduled on Dec. 20. No prior registration is required to attend the Walk with the Mayor; simply show up at the designated meeting time to walk and talk with Hovland. Remember to dress for the weather that day. In case of rain, the walk will be moved to Galleria Edina and will begin at the lobby between Cov and Starbucks.
