Outdoor Skating Rinks in Edina Parks Open Soon
Edina, Minn., Dec. 10, 2025 – Outdoor skating at Centennial Lakes Park is set to open the week of Dec. 15, while rinks in neighborhood parks are set to open Dec. 20, weather permitting.
Centennial Lakes Park, 7499 France Ave., has 10 acres of ice in a picturesque setting. Skating is free if you bring your own skates; rentals are available during rental hours. Hughes
Pavilion at the park’s main entrance serves as a warming house, offers concessions and has restrooms. Visit CentennialLakesPark.com or the Centennial Lakes Park Facebook page for skating

Once neighborhood rinks open for the season, bring your skates to any of these 12 parks that have hockey and leisure rinks, warming houses and restrooms:
Arden Park, 5230 Minnehaha Blvd.
Cornelia School Park, 7142 Cornelia Drive
Countryside Park, 6240 Tracy Ave. S.
Creek Valley Park, 6301 Gleason Ave.
Highlands Park, 5200 Doncaster Way
Lewis Park, 7300 Cahill Road
Normandale Park, 6501 Warren Ave. S.
Pamela Park, 4303 W. 58th St.
Strachauer Park, 6200 Beard Ave.
Todd Park, 4429 Vandervork Ave. S.
Walnut Ridge Park, 5801 Londonderry Road
Weber Park, 4115 Grimes Ave. S.
A leisure rink will be open during daylight hours at Wooddale Park, 4500 W. 50th St. Lighting and restrooms are not available at this rink.
Hours for rinks in neighborhood parks are generally 4:30-9 p.m. weekdays, 9 a.m-9:30 p.m. Saturdays and 1-8 p.m. Sundays. Note that hockey rink schedules Monday through Thursday are
affected by Edina Hockey Association practices and Saturday mornings by Adult Hockey League. Warming house hours vary Dec. 22 to Jan. 2 due to the holidays and school schedules. Visit

The outdoor skating season at neighborhood parks is scheduled to run through Feb. 16, weather permitting. Centennial Lakes Park’s season also depends on the weather.
