FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Fire Station 2 is new Naloxone Access Point
Edina, Minn., Dec. 12, 2025 – Edina Fire Station 2, 4401 W. 76th St., is now a Naloxone Access Point (NAP) where anyone can pick up free naloxone kits and fentanyl test strip kits 24
hours a day, seven days a week.
Naloxone is an opioid reversal medication that saves lives. Each kit includes naloxone, fentanyl test strips and QR codes linking to free, quick online training on how to recognize overdoses
and administer naloxone.
The free NAP kits are located in the fire station’s north vestibule. No personal information, insurance or questions are required to take a kit.
This program is provided by the Steve Rummler HOPE Network (SRHN) in partnership with Bloomington Public Health and Edina Public Health.
“The three-organization collaboration to offer these opioid overdose prevention supplies is a very logical step at Edina Fire Station 2,” said Community Health Administrator Jeff Brown. “Steve
Rummler HOPE Network provides the supplies, Bloomington Public Health will monitor and order more supplies when needed, and Edina is providing the space. It’s a really good example
of working across organizations to provide a public health intervention to those who need it.”
