Parks & Recreation Introduces Free Outdoor Fitness Classes
Edina, Minn., April 12, 2018 – The Edina Parks & Recreation Department is introducing a new fitness program this spring and summer. “Fitness in the Parks” is a new fitness class that
pairs with local fitness providers like Alchemy, Orange Theory Fitness, Southdale YMCA, Physical Culture(V), Steele Fitness and Core Power Yoga.
The classes will all be held in Edina parks. Classes are free, open to the public and for all fitness levels. Guests should wear comfortable workout clothes. Each class will have a different
focus from yoga to boot camps and Tai Chi.
“The only thing people need to do is sign up,” said Recreation Supervisor Nicole Gorman. “Then, just show up and enjoy the parks while doing some healthy activities.”
The first Fitness in the Parks class will be 7 p.m. Monday, May 21, at Arneson Acres Park, 4711 W. 70th St., and provided by Alchemy. The class will be a yoga and strength and conditioning
class.
In case of poor weather, call the weather hotline at 952-826-0368 or visit EdinaParks.com for instructions.
