Farmers Market and Free Movies at Centennial Lakes Park
Edina, Minn., May 30, 2018 – Centennial Lakes Park hosts Movies in the Park and a farmers market every Thursday this summer.
The free movies, which start at sunset in Maetzold Amphitheater, kick off June 7 with the “Lego Ninjago Movie.” Other family films include “Peter Rabbit” (June 21) and “Coco” (Aug. 9).
Also scheduled are the musical fantasy “La La Land” (July 26) and action flicks “Justice League” (July 19) and “Wonder Woman” (Aug. 23).
Popcorn and soda are sold on site or bring your own snacks, but no alcohol allowed. Bring a blanket to sit on or chairs are welcome, but please set those up farther back to avoid blocking
the view of others.
For the full schedule and approximate starting times each week, see the calendar at CentennialLakesPark.com.
Starting June 14, farmers and food makers set up shop each week to sell locally grown fruits, vegetables and herbs, plus homemade delicacies such as cheese, confections and salsas. New
vendors this year include Oh Crepe! (fresh crepes made on the spot); Natasha’s Pierogi (frozen, easy to prepare); The Kraut Guy (several varieties of sauerkraut) and LaLa Homemade Ice
Cream (by the cone or container).
The Centennial Lakes Farmers Market runs 3-7 p.m. Thursdays through Sept. 27 along the walkways near Hughes Pavilion.
Centennial Lakes Park, 7499 France Ave. S., also hosts several free outdoor concerts each week. Free parking is available for all the events. To learn more or find schedules of all the
events, visit CentennialLakesPark.com or call 952-833-9580.
