HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution 2026-03 Supporting the Dissolution of US Highway 169 Corridor CoalitionResolution 2026-03: Supporting the Dissolution of the U.S. Highway 169 Corridor Coalition Whereas the U.S Highway 169 Corridor Coalition was established in 2009 as a collaborative effort among cities, counties and stakeholders to advocate for transportation improvements, safety and economic development along the U.S. Highway 169 corridor; and Whereas the Coalition successfully unified regional voices to elevate the corridor's importance in state and federal transportation planning, securing attention and investment for key infrastructure projects; and Whereas the Coalition has fulfilled its original mission, and its member jurisdictions have developed the capacity to pursue corridor priorities through other regional and legislative channels; and Whereas the Coalition's leadership has recommended an orderly and transparent dissolution process, ensuring that remaining funds and responsibilities are appropriately distributed and documented; Now, therefore, be it resolved that the City of Edina formally supports the dissolution of the U.S. Highway 169 Corridor Coalition, recognizing its contributions to regional transportation advocacy and collaboration. Now, therefore, be it further resolved that the City expresses its gratitude to past and present Coalition members, staff and partners for their service and dedication to the corridor's long-term vitality.
