Discussion John Phelan read an article he wrote that was in response to the Builders Association Twin Cities’ (BATC), aka Housing First Minnesota’s Affordable Housing Institute, report titled “Priced Out.” He indicated that housing is costly because the demand exceeds the supply. Increasing supply is curtailed due to government fees and regulations. City Staff were on hand to provide information on Edina’s fees and regulations, which may not align with the report’s premise.
