Call to Order The meeting was called to order at 7:31 AM. II. Roll Call Present: Co-Chair Hunt, Members Brown, Burke, Koon, and Siekman; Staff Liaison Hawkinson; Consultant Clapp-Smith; City Staff Lamon Absent: Co-Chair Hornig and Member Kitui III. Approval of Meeting Agenda Member Brown moved, seconded by Member Koon to approve the Agenda as presented. Motion carried. IV. Approval of Meeting Minutes from July 22, 2020 Member Brown presented a correction to the Minutes to reflect that Member Burke will work on drafting Community Drivers as a Goal or Strategy. Member Brown moved, seconded by Member Koon to approve the minutes as amended. Motion carried. V. Discussion Items a. Scoring and Development of Strategies: The Task Force discussed further the Strategies that were scored the previous week, including combining duplicates and determining if some should be shifted to be Tools. The Task Force Members suggested and approved that a Fist to Five scoring of 0 would be removed, so that one person could not unilaterally veto an item. Summary of discussion (DRAFT): For Consideration Strategies GOAL 1: PROMOTE AFFORDABLE AND ATTAINABLE HOUSING Revise per edits 5) Prepare Propose a housing implementation plan using a mixture of tools to methods that would achieve the goals, including 1,804 affordable units, in the ten-year horizon, with annual goals. Provide plans with time-bound goals and milestones, to be reviewed on an annual basis. Revise per edits 8) Facilitate the development of new housing options to that accommodates the diverse needs of a people of different ages, household sizes, lifestyle and incomes. diverse needs and from diverse backgrounds. This is in the report; not a Strategy within the report.Remove 9) Provide a description of each the targets for affordable housing. The description should provide as much detail as possible about: population, trends over time, types of housing required (number of people/HH, features, amenities, relationship to transit, income levels, price range for owned and rental housing (given income). GOAL 2: PROMOTE LIFECYCLE HOUSING [Note: Use more descriptive words; define somewhere prominently] Added to #2 1) Protect and maintain lifecycle housing that is important for attracting young families.
