Application Open for City of Edina Boards and Commissions
Edina, Minn., Nov. 26, 2015 – The City of Edina is seeking applications for the City’s 10 Boards and
Commissions.
Boards & Commissions include:
Arts & Culture Commission
Board of Appeal & Equalization
Community Health Commission
Construction Board of Appeals
Energy & Environment Commission
Heritage Preservation Board
Human Rights & Relations Commission
Park Board
Planning Commission
Transportation Commission
“Being involved in a Board or a Commission is an excellent way to serve Edina and your neighbors,” explained
Project Coordinator MJ Lamon. “We have a lot of civic-minded individuals in this community and it’s always
rewarding to see community members get involved through serving on a Board or a Commission.” She added
that the City’s Boards & Commissions cover a wide range of interests and expertise, so residents are nearly
always able to find a Board or Commission to serve on that fits their skill-sets.
Applicants must be at least 18 years of age and live in Edina to participate. Most appointments are three years in
length and begin in March 2016. Applications must be received by Jan. 31, 2016; interviews and orientation will
