Mayor Hovland To Host February ‘Walk with the Mayor’
Edina, Minn., Feb. 12, 2015 – Edina Mayor Jim Hovland will lead the monthly “Walk with the Mayor” event
9 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 21 at Southdale Center.
Participants will enjoy a two-mile walk inside the oldest indoor shopping center in our nation while the Mayor
discusses current events, challenges Edina is facing and City projects.
“It is still winter in Minnesota, so the Southdale mall is an excellent place to walk in a dry and warm place,
enjoy rich conversation, have a cup of coffee and spend a little time together on a Saturday morning,” Hovland
said. “I hope residents are able to join me for the February walk.”
Walkers should meet by the Caribou Coffee in Southdale Center.
Walk with the Mayor events are held on the third Saturday of each month at 9 a.m.
