Fire damages Edina home on Long Break Trail
Edina, Minn., July 2, 2015 – The Edina Fire Department was called to the 5700 block of Long Break Trail at
9:09 p.m. Thursday, July 2, after receiving reports of a house fire.
Fire crews arrived to discover a working fire, with flames showing from the roof. While the fire was mostly
contained to the kitchen and attic space, there was significant smoke and water damage to the entire home.
The homeowners were not home at the time of the fire. There were no injuries.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
The Edina Fire Department received mutual aid from the Bloomington, Eden Prairie, Excelsior, Hopkins,
Minnetonka, Richfield and St. Louis Park fire departments.
