Armed Suspect Shot in Officer-Involved Shooting
Edina, Minn., Aug. 8, 2015 – At 10:11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 8, Edina Police officers responded to a residence
in the 7500 block of Cahill Road on a welfare check regarding an individual displaying threatening
behavior. Upon arrival, officers encountered an adult male inside the residence who displayed a weapon.
Subsequently, shots were fired and the suspect was injured. The suspect was transported to a local area
hospital and was listed in critical condition.
None of the officers were injured during the incident. At the request of the Edina Police Department, the
Hennepin County Sheriff’s Office is investigating this incident.
