Mr. Turnbull moved the minutes of Imber 9, 1973 be approvad as written.

The members of the Committee were Intraduced'to the Park and by Ken Rosland
and the Chairman, Hr. McCarthy, was asked to go over the report for the Park Board
ammbers.
WWI McCarthy thanked the Committee and the Park Department staff for their
help with this report.
The Committee stated that with the daytime hours for the adults, tha facility
could pay for itself. Theprograming couid he very flexibie and does not have tc-t
got involved in iarga expenditures.
Vs. Shaw questioned if there would be any kitchen facifitlet;? Rqsliaad
stated that they had not thought abon it but that a.large kitchen facility would
not be needed. Mrs. Shaw thought it wtuld ba nice if there were some small kitchen
facilities available.
After the report summary was cempleted by the Commj;tee, Mr. NcCartq ashzd
!f there were any questions by the Park Board mamsers.
Mr. Adams questioned security an the off hours of the art center. KeQ Rosland
stated Wat once VOU bring action into an area, you generally do not have hard core
vandalism but the:a is always the possiblity. There wouid be no futj time security
an the promises.
Joan Loasbuvy wanted to stress the argoRcy,ln gatting started with this p;oject
as soon as possible.

Mr. Wms quostioned the Ward and We axismittea Qs ther or not the residents

Park and Recreatian Department to round out the recreatien program and to encourage
adults to became active in these areas.

M. SWINKHM POOL REPORT
Ken Rostand stated that since the aitZzens had not completed their research,
some of the actuai facts w -are mlssin-g, from the rep rt..
Ken Rosland brie' ed the Park Board on, the Swimming Pool Report. lie requested
that, at this thmat he did not need any act loo but that he would like the members
to take the report fgyara and read It so that it may be discussed at the next Park
Board meeting.
IV. 14UD LAKE STUDY
As a result of the mation at the October 9, 1973 Park Board miasting, the Park
Board received copies of the Hud Lake Study. Ken Rosland requested that the Park
Board read It so that It could be discussed at the January ameting. The report has
also been sent to the Planning Coe-missfon and the Environmental Quality Ctmunission.
1. GOLF COURSE REPORT
The financial report for nine reonths ending September 30, 1973, showed revenue
-at $210,247, and net Inco nie frorii operating department $T7,5-34. Operating expenses
were $137,105, interest on bonds and foan $22,176 and provision for depreciation
$7,83% leaving a ft -at tncw,,,- of $63,320. & .

Revenue at this ti ma was to $016,0163 In i972.' Total operating
expenses, Were $144,892. After twi manths of; operation in 1,973 ItIv.- rewort shm'sed a
net loss of $27,404. Kan Restand. explained theteals is due Mostly ter the three
compressors which had to he overhauled. Loss of Inc om is due to thia lack of aft
the Lake. Conference games.
