AUGUST 15, 1972
MEMBERS PREWNT: B. Lewis, Fa Richards, C. Baranauckas, 0 Adams, P. Turnbull
and 3. Ramsey
STAFF PRESENT: K. Rosland: B. Kojetin, R. Jacobson and M. Bruns
F. Mr. Richards moved that Mr. Adams be nOminatcd as Chairman, Dr.
Baranauckas seconded the nomination and the secretary was instructed to cast
a unanimous vote Tor Mr. Adams.
S 197 PROPOSED BUDGET
Mr Rosland reviewn with ths Ward the 1973 proposed budget. Major in-
creases in administration were salarY increases and the hiring of a
clerk typist. Recce at!on %rc due prima7ly to Sala& increases.
Maintenance increases were due tO the Went"! longer skating season if the
weather parinits
Hr� Adams moved the proposed budget be approved as submitted with the
recommendation that the twO items if needed to be cut would be the backhoe and
the tree spade in capital out%. Mr. Richares seconded and the motion carried.
COMMISSION
mr. Fred Richards, representative from the Environmental Quality cofnmts-
sion, reported the Creek Valley uptist Church has again allowed some of their
fill to slide onto Village proparty. He asked Mr. Rosland to check further on
the problem. 6 '

The Park Board discussed the philosophy of meeting every other month and
it was decided starting in September thare 'Dud be monthly meetings With

Dr. Baranauckas reported that in the past two hockey rinks have been War-
atei at Southview Junior High bY W WOW District. Because of a change in
hockay programming, the rinks have Yen rcmovad and a hasebal! and soccer field
planned. The neighbars have drawn up a petition requesting the rinks be retained.
Dr. Saranauckas stated he Is heading up a committee for the School District to
further study the situaticn. H* ChWl �Ist�.,,ad t1la-z F. representative from the Park
and Recreation Departmsnt serve an this committee and Mr. Rosland agreed to do so.
