Bruns OTHERS PRESENT: Mrs. Haie and Mrs. Brindle 11 Mr. Turnbull moved that the minutes ofSeptember 20, 1972, be approved as written. Mrs. Shaw seconded and the motion carried. W ?ARBURY ESTATE Mr. Rosland read the list ol names that he and Mr. Adams were recom- mending to be appointed to study the use of the Parbury Estats The names nmra as follow5: Dr. Qro sn, Virginia Shaw, Connie Adams, Lowell McCarthy, Joan Lonsbury, Anita Bacand lcen Rosi and W , ifin RECREATION REPORAII,* Mr. Rosland stated that req gists and letters have been received from girls to start a hockey program. The raquests have conic froul g1ris as young as fifth grade to approximately 100 high school girls who have signed .z petition, Hothers have also naiied requesting a girls' hockey lealue be started. Plans are now being made to start a league this winter. Mr. Jacobson reported ths care's touch football league just ended. Registrations for buys' basketball and hockaV are now being accepted with both programs having large registrnions. Mr. Resl and reported that Edina Rotary has been actively angaged In studying teen center operations. A private zitizens group, Vouth Action, has been organized and is raising mads to hire a teen coordinator, Dr. Daranauckas also stated the schools are becoming more involved in encouraging students to participate in extra curricular activities.
