Bill Ring, and Mr. icon Brauer In Mr. Lewis moved that the minutes of Jann2ary 6, 1967, be approved as written. Mr. Enroth seconded and the motion carried. 11. CREEK VALUY SCHOOL PARR DEVELOPMENT Mr. Don Brauer presented to the Park Board, Mr. Bill Shaw, Chairman of the School Board, and School Administrators, the site study for the Creek Talley School Park development. The plan consiated of An elementary school and a neighborhood para -with the various playground facilities. This develop- ment would be located on approximately' 40 acres of land - 23 acres of school Property and 17 acres of park property. Air. Roslxand pointed out the various park facilities and where their location in the park would be for the convenience of public use. A major skating area is planned for the northwest corner of the park since there is no present skating facility in this part of the Village. The question of ample parsing eras brmught up and after much discussion it was felt that the present allocated parking for 150 cars would be sufficient. The Paris Board will meet with the School Board Monday, February 20, at 7:15 perm. to discuss this development further. Mr. Lewis moved that the concept of the layout of this development plan „ be accepted and approved. Dr. Carrara secoaaded and the motion carried. 11:1. PAN AMERICAN GAME TRIALS The Pan American Game Committee has requested that the Village of Edina allow the competitive swimaaers to use the Edina municipal pool for practiced`" e' and training. They are requesting they be allowed to use the pool three nights a week from ,holy 12 20 from 5:04 - 7.*00 p.mt and also host an exhibition the evening of July 19. After considerable discussion, fir. Giebink moved that we host the ex- hibition July 19 starting; at 7:30 p.m. biro Lewis seconded and the motion carried. Mr. Adams moved that we also let theta use the pool July 15 & 16 from 6:00 - 8.00 p.m. and two other evenings. Hr. Rosland was appointed to work out further details of the times they might like to use the pool. Mr. Giebink sec- onded and the motion carries. Edian Park aaar4 14icwtes m2- February €n, 1967 l€r n S.jaNn .ARENA • REPORT Hr. Roslannd stated that Ken Yackel would again hold his owner hockey school at braemar. Official total attendance figures are not available at this time but Leke Conference attendance was up approximately 30% over the previous year and the dollar income was up approximately 35,000® Discussion vas held on the conditions of the hockey boards at the Arena. It was suggested that a form of plasatic could be installed instead of Slake School has installed plastic and to date seems to have had very good luck with It. This will be investigated further. Vo SOOT ST glib A preliminary study was presented to the Board showing the proposed neighborhood par1c which would consist of approuirsaately six to eight acres. NO action was taken. F1, VILIAGE HALL SITE -MASTER PLAN A site study was presented showing the present Village Sall site as a location for the proposed neer library as well as the placing of the Grange Rall, old school building, and as historical complex, The Park Board discussed this briefly; however, it wrs for their information only and no action was taken® Mr. Roslaand reported that no further action has been taken on the pos- sibility of applying for Federal fund3 for the development of Mud Lake. A latter is being written to the Housing and Rose Finance Agency trying to pin point rha3t the actual chances are of receiving Federal funds.
