111. SHELTER BUILDIUGS
A proposed drawing and model of a new design in shelter buildings was
shown to the Board. The advantage of this particular design was the building
could be built in stages with plumbing facilities added at a later date with no
extensive additional costs.
The building was so designed that in the summertime it would be a sun shel-
ter open on ell sides, and in the wintertime closed for a warming house facility.
This raskes the building less attractive to vandalism during the spring, summer,
and fall months. The cost of this structure without plumbing facilities to es-
timated at about tq5,0000
The Board cemented on the building and suggested several possible changes
"They instructed Mr. Bowland to ask the architect to submit these new thoughts
on paper.
IV. IWALEUT RIDGE PARK,
Hr. Paul Pjare of Brauer. and Associates, presented the site plan for Walnut
Ridge Park. The facilities in this park would include two tennis courts, appa-
ratus area, shelter building, complete skating complex, playfield and ballfield
area. 1"his park is designed to be a neighborhood park.
Mr. Roslane, stated the need for approval of the plan at this time so the
site plsnners could be instructed to work out grading plans. The Engineering
Department will have -approximately 15,000 yards of fill available for this. park
this summer, and the dumping of the fill in the proper area would be advantageous
if it did not hove to be moved again at P3 later date.

property who has not yet deeded it to the Village would now like to add one addi-
tional lot of approximately 100° in width to his property taking away this 1000
