Mr. Roslanj presented to the Park Board a list of items that should
be completed during the tun months that the Arena is closed. The items
and the estimated costs are as follGws:

It. Roslend reponed to the ParkBoard he has investigated Federal
Aid Programs In regard to purchasing and developing of property for Mud
WK Area and other park arean. The progrcm that offered the most
asnistance was the Open Space Land Vrogram administered by the Urban
Renewal Administration. This program pays 50 per cent of total land
purchase and development costs, Hounever, it does not pay for major
construetion improvements vithin parks such as swimming pools, cluUhauses,
and recreaticm renters..
The Qrk Word discunzed the principle of using FederY money. It
was recommended that zLe Park 3aW bold an informal discussion meeting
vith the Village Council .end the Planning Commicion in regard to use
of VIM& money. Nx; Hoslana urs Krected to set a meeting with the
Couzcil and Plauning Commission during the week of April 18.
As requested by the ?ark Boarl, Brauer W Associates submitted a
cost proposal for a master plan stydy of the MY Lake Area. The Park
BOW fult this proposal Would not be acted upon until the discussions
with the Village Council are completed.
