A proposed plot co-asisting of the area to the west and south eat ' '
Countryside Park was presented to the' Park*Board. It had beenreferredto
Oaem -for their. considezation by the Planning Comaission. Mr. Burton, the
G-kinner of part of the property ras presents to explain the plat, The plat
consisted of a coi=ercial district to the south of the park and a town hotase-
complen to the west.
After sama discussion, 0 -le Park Board. decided to meet with the Planning
co-zlis sion at the actual Site location prior to taking any formal action.
Mr. Rosland was directed .,.-'o set a date for this meeting and inform the Park
Board meaibers.

h1r, Kvajetin reported that 240 children 1have registered for the
skating program. 'and the sk-Ling program has 215 registrants to date. Hockey
rasistration will start November 12.

The Park and Recreation Department has been approached by several
intereoted citizens -who aye interested it atarting a basketball program for
boys in 5th through 3th grades. Plans are no-ty being made to feel out the
Lvt-croot in the cc-4-munity and if the 5n4i:eest is ampie, a program for boys
Of this nge will be started. The organization will be similar to the pre-
sent Junior Baseball, VlocILCey, a -ad Football Associations.

Mir. Bo-uen presented to the Park Board n financial report in regard

to the suimmer operation at Brae ar Arena. During the 19 weeks of mite
session, tline A:eaa had an income of $2-5,839 with expenses totaling $27,149.

like to use the general skating area and wnrmitg house facilities gain this
