Parks have been completed. 'Becense of tlae u,,et Leather, the earthwork projects
at Heights, Pamela, and Garden ;Parks are behind schedule,
Mrs Roslan.d reviewed with the Park Board the financial progress report
on Bratmar Arena. The present balance of the Arena is now $506,633o The two
major items that pushed the price above the $500,000 figure were the grater
treatment equipTsert costing $4,000 and underground wiring casting $4,500. The
water treatment equipment will remove the iron and soften the seaters Mr.
Giebink suggested the possibility of leasing the water equipment instead of
buying it.
'Hr. Carl Moser, PraAident of the . 4ina-Horningtide Junior Hockey Associa-
tion was present and reported to the park Board on the Hockey program. A
Pony league will be organized for S 6 9 year olds. nis league will teach the
fundamentals of suing, stick handling, and rules of the game
The schedule of rates and charges, estimated .revenue, ,and estimated
operating expenses for a 10 -month operation at gra3emar Arena was presented to
the Park Board. After some discussion Aix', Giebink moved that we recommend
to the Council that Draemaer Arena operate on a 10 -month basis. Mr. Diercks
seconded and the motion carried.
Mr. Giebink moved that the following rates and charges be recommended
to the Council for Drafemar Arena:
