STAFF PRESENT: baessrs. Rosland, :Hyde, Cooper and Ko,jetin. OTHERS: Mayor Bredesen Mr. Stevens explained to the gentlemen that this meeting was called in regexds to holding some typo of two-tourn t at the golf coarse this year. Mr. Stevens had Harary Cooper explain the type of tournament that could be held. Marry explained -Cha; this could be a one�day tF31Aszrna nt, possibly on a Monday which is no=ally a sloe day at the golf course. This is also a day when most pros are available for such tournaments. Mayor Bredesen then explained that he had been contacted by Dick Enroth who has a party who Is willing to put up approximately $1,50 for prize money. The Mayor expressed his opinion that a tournament such as this would be good publicity in. general fox the golf course and for the Village of Edna, which he felt was hes main concern. Possible date, viere thea discussed for this tournament and September 217 110,64 seemed the best date if we were to go ahead on a -OuTnaaaent such as this. Mr. Diercks moved that a pro-anateur tournament be sponsored by the Village of Edina. Mr. Le=saris seconded and the motion carried. fir. Stevens then appointed a committee of Harzy Cooper and Ken Rosland to work with Dick Enroth and .hack Adams to follow through with all the details of the tournament. A discussion was held on the selling of a twilight rate. It was the opinion of the Park Hoard that a twilight rate be established at $1.25 for Patron Caird holders and $1.75 for tion -patron card holders. This would be in effect y days a week.
