A. '•d zj-ienue Requests
1,> V-59®21, A. M. CARLSON. Facing of home on Lot 7, Block 7, LaBuena
jai -;t;, (6800 Hillside Lane). Mr. Hite explained to the Commission
that the agenda was in error and that by ordinance the public hear-
ing on this request would have to be held by the Village Council
upon receiving t?,i reconmiendation of the Commission. Mr. Carlson's
.request indicated that he intended r:o build an 80 foot house on the
lot and that due to side yard requirements, it would only be possible
to f-ziae the house to the north along the long side of the lot. The
members of the Commission, noting that home: built in the immediate
area would all be facing the short side of their lots, and that
neii;her the shape or the topo6raphy of the lot in question created
a situation wherein it would be a hardship to locate a house facing
the side of the lot, required by ordinance, recommended unanimously,
after motion by Lewis9 seconded by Gustafsonp that the request be
denied.

A. Two Family Dwellings
1, P-59-19 Q. C. V_OLK, Lot 39 Block 1, Clifton Terrace. Mr. Hite
explained to the Corrmission that Nr. Volk did not have at this time
a building plan f,,r the double dwelling to be constructed upon the
lot, and that it would, therefore, be impossible under the new
double dwelling ordinance to take any action on the request other
than an expression of the Commission's opinions on the possible use
of the lot for doubles. it was noted that the lot is adjacent to
the crosstown highway right-of-way and is in an area where doubles
are now located, For these ren!,+ons, the Commission members all
agreed that they would recommend that a double be allowed on the
lot providing that such double met the requirements of the new
ordinance,
