q resolution on the resignation of P',';r. Alfred H. Hiatt was read by Mr. Lewis,
after which motion was made, seconded and carried to adopt the resolution, as
follows;
RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, Alfred H. Hiatt has served continuously is a member of Planning
Commi cion of the Village of Edina since his appointment by the Council. of the
Villzge of Edina on January 1, 1947 and has now asked to be relieved of his
duties as a it ambe3r of the Cor niosion, and
WHEREAS, Alfred H. Hiatt ha_ given generously of his time,, ability and
experience to the deliberations of the Planning Commission., and during his
period of service has contributed immeasurably to the orderly planning,
growth and development of the Village of Edina, and by his sincerity of
purpony, :impartial judgment and keen sense of fairness has deservedly held
ike full rospect ind regard of his fellow members of the Commission,
NOW THEREFORE, the membors of the Planning Commission of the Village of
Edina are privileged ;.o express their nigh person_ai regard for Alfred H. Hiatt
;ltd to emend 'their personal thanks to him for his devotion to the fulfillment

George Hite explained that this was a request for an 3 foot side yard
instead of the required 0. Since this is the lm_ -t vacant lot in the

Wr. Todd told the Freeds that in all fairness to -..hem, Planning Commission

pc-esent tonight. This agree_ible to the Freeds and the matter was
placed on the �:genda of the January 6th meeting.
