Peacedale ART—es. (See MJ " nutes of May 10, June 14, and July 5, 1961). This _iequest had been tabled at the July 5th meeting pending a field trip to the site which,it vlai rioted, was held earlier in the evening. Mr. 4 unit apartment plans were again revievied. It wa_ nuted that the 82 foot width of the lot upon which the proposed building was to be located would mnly permit the erection of a building 52 feet in width, because of side yard requirements and that this limited w1dtb would necessitate two story coostzucbimo. Adjacent buildings were ail single otmzy~ The 13r596 square foot lot area is umewhat less than the 14 `,000 square feet required by the Zoning Ordinance. It was generally agreed that altbuo:b l*fa lucation was generally suitable for 4 unit dewelopment its limited size and shape would not permit the erection of a 6tzoutore possessing good design characteristics. Nb. Odell moved that the Planning Ccuomissins recommend that the petition for the rezoning fzmn Open De,velopnent to Multiple Residence District be denied. After a second by Mr^ pmleyy, the motion carried unanimously. Z-61-7. Mr. Gziuvold uuggested tbat the area mitbin wblub the lot was located was already molti-tamilied in oheractez and that some variety in housing dansity eorj atyle might- be muze beneficial to both the community and the neigbbmrhoo than an all double bungalow development. z. Rite lndi:ated tkat War. 8ippe did not have a specific building plan tm oubmilt and aggestod that if one .rvaze to be prepared that it give cunsideration to the topography of the site. He said that the differ- ence in elevation auzusa the width ofl-' the lot might be advantageously unod foz a split level building thua eliminating excess building height and spme variatiao in the front elevation. . Vilikinsmn said that althuugh he had not viemed the property earlier in the evening, it appeared that the proposal needed to be more detailed befoze it could be considered by the Conmiissiun and suggested that Mr. Gippa present at Ieal.t a sketch of the building he proposed to erect. . ilkioaun moved that the m;)t{,n be tabled which motion was seconded by hIbc.
