and the members desire to publicly acknowledge their high personal
regard for George J,, Nugent and urish him the best of luck in hip

Council places this rcsoluticn in the minutes of August 3, 1970,
and the Planning Comrdosion places this resolution in the minutes
of the meeting held August 5, 1970, and respectfully request that
a copy of it be presented to our good friend, George Jj. Nugent,
Mr,, Huelster made a motion to approve Lhe resolution of appreciation for

SUBDIVISIONS
SF -70-5 Harold HarRrove First Addition.
Mr. Hoisington stated that this two lot subdivision at the north-
west corner of West 70th Street and Antrim TI'Zoad received preliminary approval
from the Council some time ago, and should nov, be considered for final
approval. Staff recomriends final appro�ral.
Mr,, Hughes moved that the Planning Commission grant final
approval of the subdivie-ion, and Mr. Hualster seconded the motion. All Voted
Aye, Motion Carried.

Mr. HaisinF;toa stated that -he Village attarneys feel that the
Village should not rely on dfaed in va attempt to limit density in
multiple districts, and therefore have be,:tn exploring the pofitsibility of
creating a new zinl.ng, districtlie that rather than nreate a new
district which would range in density end coastzti:tion between R-3 and R-4.
districts, it might be Ase to consider an amendment to the Planned Residen-
tial District, thereby creating a subdiotrict which would enable considerably
higher density and thus allow morn. flex-ibility.

Mr,Iluelster moved that My. Eoisingtor be granted permissiorn, to
draft an ameadrient to the Planned Residential District Ordincmce for consider-
ation by the Planning CowLission at a later date., Mro Sherman seconded the
motion. All Voted Ave. Motion Carried.,

been spent working on this area, as chrce committee meetings have been held
during the past two rionths.,
Mr. 11oisington staLed that the Committee is considering a new
elementary achool within this area, and indicated that there are two sites
witich might be -in'---licularly suited for occupancy by the p-' -oposed school.,.
Onesite is locatt,-d wear Dewey Hill Roa,,A,. and the alternative site is more
centrally located and would not be located near au ax±ating main street.
Mr., Iloisington reported that x decisioa has been made as to which site will
be given priority, 'hovever he added Llhat the school representatives have indi-,

Mr. haisington reported that the Committee is proposing some

Mr, Hughes inquired about the structure of the Board, and Mr.
Hoisington replied that it consists of one Councilman, one Planning Commissioner,
and one member at large.
Mr. Sherman asked if Mr_„ David Runyan, being an architect, would
be a good addition to the Board and Mia Hoisington replied that he .could be a
very good addition.
Mr. Clifford Johnson nominated Mt. David Runyan as the Planning
Commission representative to the Board of Appeals and Adjustments, and Mr.
Huelster seconded the motion All doted Aye, Motion Carried.
