He is requesting division of the site in -this manner so the tax -es can be divided.
Mr. Luce recommended the division he denied., as division of -the land would
allow, and possibly encourage, two separate developments, which the Planning Commfission
and Council has gone on record as opposing, Mr. Lewis agreed and recalled Mr. Balla
indicated during discussions held when the Perkins parking lot area was coned that
nothing would be done with the southezra part of the site.
Mr. Luce noted that Kent Swanson, the City Assessor, has agreed to supply
Mr. Halla with the valuation split he desires.
Mr. Sheman moved the requested division be denied for the reasons discussed,
and Mr. G. Johnson seconded the motion. All voted aye. Motion carried.

WHEREAS the City of Edina participated in a -traffic and land use study with the City
of Richfield, the City of Bloomington, Hennepin County Highway Depaxtment, the State
of Minnesota High -gay Department, the Metropolitan and the Metropoli'tan Transi-,:--
Commission, and
WHEREAS the result of this study was a recc-mac ndation for a -three part thrust at
solving the transper�-Lation problems for the City of Edina and 'chat those three parts
were a greater control of land use, an increase in t�anai-*,-- ridership., and improvements
to the existing highway sy,,3tem, and
WHEREAS that study has been reviewed by a task fopce cc—,?wised of Cq-,Pres0IAtz-VCives Of
