Mr. Hoisington stated that this two lot subdivision at the north- west corner of West 70th Street and Ant --Am Road received preliminary approval from the Council some time ago, and should now be considered for final approval.-, Staff recommends final appro-al. Mr., Hoisington reported th;,t a considerable rdacunt of time,_ has been spent working on this area, as thri,,.e connittee meetings have been held during the past two months,, Mr. Iloisington stated that the Conmittee is considering LA new elementary school within this area, and indicated that there are two S.Zes which miglht be particularly sivIted for occupancy by the proposed school., One site is Yocated near Dewey Hill Roac and the alternative site is snore centrally located and would not be located near an existing main street. Mr,, Hoisington reported that rdecision has been made as to which site will be given priority, however Lie added that the school representatives have indi— cated a preferance for the site ::nearest Dewcy Hill Rv-gd,. - Mr. Iloisington reportad that the Ccnvnittee is proposing some variation in density and is presently censidering a mixture of housing in these areass, He also added that a new street near Cahill Road is being proposed so that industria.-L traffic cannot eaaily filter through the residential areas,:, Tir. Mr. Hol-sington staF-ed, that because Mr. Nugent has resigned from the Planning Commission, a new r-,-,tpreoen�.ative to the Board of Appeals and Adjustments should be elected. Edina Manning Commission -5e August 5, 1970 Mr,'dughes inquired about the structure of the Board, and Mr, Hoisington replied that it consists of one Councilman, one Planning Commissioner., and one member at large. Mr. Sherman asked if Mr. David RuLiyan, being an architect, would be a good addition to the Board and Mr. Hoisington replied that he would be a very good addition. Mr. Clifford Johnson nominated Mr. David Runyan as the Planning Commission representative to the Board of Appeals and Adjustments, and Mr Huelster seconded the motion,: All Voted Aye, Motion Carried. vllo Adjournment at 7.55 P.M.
