Rosland opened ne i w discussion on e bids by i n r the time
of the bidding period which began on i.londayq Deco.-Jxr 17l 1962', included
a bidders conference on December 279 1962, and ended January 9, 1963
at 00 iwhen thebids 3 ope4ivd.pointed out that
bids
received from 15 bidders. The bids were broken down into three basic
proposals: Earthwork (Proposal I); Irrigation (Proposal 11); and
Plantings (Proposal III). Mr. Rosland pointed out that the three low
bidders 3. Bolander 9 Sons, (Proposal
T. D. Gustafson (Proposal II) at $116,000; and E. Grant Parl (Proposel'III)
at $42,148. The adding of these three figures came to $738,990.60.
There is $200,000 budgeted for the remainder of the work: Club house at
$100,000; • r maintenance equipment$25,000; and power
system at $30,,000; and Fees at $45,0000. This brought a t• of $938,990-60
which is over the original proposed budget of $825,000.
It was the understanding of the Park Board that we could work with
the low bidder and delete certain items from his contract. The golf
course greenskeeper and his crew would do the deleted work., thus giving
us a savings and meeting our budget.
Brauer - Rippel submitted a proposed revision of the
Bolander base • s with r deduction of $247,788.002 bringing the co, r,
down to $433,054.60. Harrison . Brauer . Rippel then submitted a detail
