Mi, Rosland was asked what progress has been made in acquiring
the Davis,propexty and he stated that Mr. Hyde has been unable to�

Mr. Brauer stated that the soil borings will tell him how much
the land wrill settle and how much fill will be.needed. Mr. Rosland
was -asked^; o�have the engl.neering department haul as much fill in:.

COMM to meet with Mr. Brauer and Mr. Rosland t6 -review the
cost estimates .and committments. The.committee will also determine

the ;cost estitates in the long range plans.

Mr. Brauer stated that the soil borings have been done and he

not as good as he had expected, so some revisions will ;have to be

1X. FOURTH OF JULY CELEBRATION.
Mr. Den Allen of the Jaycees, and Chairman of -the fourth of
July comittee presented; tentative pians for the c6lebration.

Mr.,Stevers hien stated that it is against the policy of the
Park Board to permit any concessions to be sold in'Edina Parks. iulr.

Allen rep]ied'that,conce$cions would be the only source of funds to
AWL
support the program and ft was agreed that i#°the project is approved
the concessions stand -could be set up in'one area at the south ehd
of the parking of or onhe service road at the north end of the pool*'+
He also stated that insurance will be carried by the organizations
sponsoring the celebrations
A vote was then taken.on the above motion. Those voting Ayez�
Messrs. Giebink, Greer, Dacus, Adams, and Lewis. Those 'voting
Messrs. Crinkl"ey and Stevens. Motion carried,
