HomeMy WebLinkAbout1978 02-23 HPB Meeting Minutes SpecialMINUTES OF THE SPECIAL MEETING OF THE EDINA HERITAGE PRESERVATION BOARD HELD FEBRUARY 23, 1978 at 5:30 P.M. EDINA CITY HALL CONFERENCE ROOM I. Members Present: Foster Dunwiddie, Chairman, Frank Thorpe, Paul Mucke, Tom Martinson, Betty Paugh, Maryanne Herman, Gordon Stuart Staff Present: Harold Sand Mr. Sand said that Notice of the Special Meeting was published in the "Edina Sun" on February 22, 1978 and posted on February 17, 1978. II. Historic Survey Mr. Sand reported on the results of his investigation of the references given by the consultants. Mr. Dunwiddie requested each member of the Board to share their views and opinions of the consultants that were interviewed at the February 9, Heritage Preservation Board Meeting. The members discussed their opinions and indicated that all three candidates appeared to be well qualified to perform the survey. The general opinion was that Mr. William Scott of Setter Leach and Lindstrom Architects, Inc. was the best qualified to perform the survey. Mr. Thorpe moved that the Board recommend to the City Council that Mr. Scott be hired for the Historic Survey. Mr. Stuart seconded the motion. All Voted Aye. Motion Carried. III. Next Meeting Date: March 9, 1978, 7:30 P.M. IV. Adjournment Mr. Martinson moved the meeting be adjourned. Mr. Mucke seconded the motion. All Voted Aye. Motion Carried.
