Next Regular Meeting -Date: December 14, 1978, at 7:30 p.m. VIII. Adj ournment MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING OF THE EDINA HERITAGE PRESERVATION BOARD HELD THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 9, 1978, AT 7:30 P.M. EDINA CITY HALL CONFERENCE ROOM Members Present: Chairman Foster Dunwiddie, Paul Muoh(e, Tom Martinson, Gordon Stuart. Staff Present: Harold Sand I. Approval of the Minutes Mr. Sand indicated that the minutes of the previous meeting were not available. II. Joint Meeting with the Edina Historical Society Mr. Dunwiddie reported that the historical society was unable to get an adequate number of members to attend the meeting. They requested that we. attempt to arrange a future meeting. No further action was taken. III. Historic Survey Mr. Sand indicated that Bill Scott requested a list of long time Edina residents to possibly set up a meeting to discuss the history of Edina. Mr. Dunwiddie suggested several names and indicated that we should tape the session and perhaps show slides to refresh their memories. He also suggested that an afternoon session may be possible because most of the people are retired. IV. "The Edina Trail" Mr. David Long presented copies of a..brochure entitled "The Edina Trail" that he prepared as a public service project to fulfill part of the requirements for the rank of Eagle Scout. The Board generally complimented Mr. Long on a job well done. Mr. Martinson moved that the Board send a letter of commendation to the scoutmaster. Mr. Stuart seconded the motion. All voted aye; the motion carried. V. Tape Recorded Workshops From the Annual Meeting of the National Trust Mr. Dunwiddie indicated that he attended the National Trust Annual Meeting in Chicago and returned with tape recordings of some of the work- shop sessions. He played one recording on Litegation in Historic Preservation and another recording that covered Administration of a Small Town Historic Pre- servation Commission. Other Business Mr. Sand advised the Board that he had recieved comments from the Edina Historical Society and the Minnesota Historical Society on the Baird House rezoning. He will advise the Board of the City Council hearing when it is scheduled. VII. Next Meeting Date: December 14, 1978, at 7:30 p.m. VIII. Adjournment Mr. Martinson moved the meeting be adjourned.
