MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING OF THE
EDINA HERITAGE PRESERVATION BOARD
TUESDAY, FEBRUARY 26, 1991, AT 7:30 P.M.
MEMBERS PRESENT: Chairman, Gary Nyberg, Marilyn Curtis, David
Gepner, Herman Ratelle, Lois Wilder and
Donald Wray
MEMBERS ABSENT: Cy Stuppy
STAFF PRESENT: Joyce Repya, Associate Planner
I. WELCOME NEW MEMBER: Herman Ratelle
Ms. Repya welcomed Mr. Ratelle to the Board after which each board
member introduced themselves and shared something of their
interests and background.
II. APPROVAL OF THE MINUTES:
Marilyn Curtis moved for approval of the minutes from the January
22, 1991 meeting. Lois Wilder seconded the motion. All voted aye;
motion carried.
III. COUNTRY CLUB INFORMATION BROCHURE:
Board members reviewed the goals and objectives that would be
achieved through the completion and distribution of the Country
Club brochure.
A lengthy discussion ensued in which board members critiqued and
made changes to the proposed text for the brochure. From this
stage, the text will be combined with photography, and a draft of
the brochure will be presented for approval.
No formal action was taken.
III. OTHER BUSINESS:
David Gepner asked if it would be possible for the Board to review
the history and possible historical significance of neighborhoods
within the City.
Ms. Repya stated that she would be happy to research the City's
files and report back with a list of areas that have some
"available" historic information.
