RESOLUTION NO.2016-36
APPROVING PRELIMINARY AND FINAL PLAT
AT 7600 METRO BOULEVARD
BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Edina,Minnesota, as follows:
Section 1. BACKGROUND.
1.01 Independent School District No.273,the Edina School District is requesting a subdivision of
7600 Metro Boulevard.
1.02 There are no site improvements proposed at this time.
1.03 The purpose of the request is to divide off 9.29 acres from the existing 20.60 acre parcel that is
the currently occupied by Film Tec.The School District would like to use the 9.29 acre vacant
portion of the site as the future home of a new bus garage.Site Plan Review would be required
when the School District is ready to proceed with a proposal.
1.04 The following described tract of land is requested to be divided:

1.05 The owner of the described land desires to subdivide said tract in to the following described
new and separate parcels (herein called"parcels') described as follows:

1.06 On February 24, 2016, the Planning Commission unanimously recommended approval. Vote:
9 Ayes and 0 Nays.
1.08 On March 15,2016,the City Council held a public hearing on the proposed subdivision.
Section 2. FINDINGS
2.01 Approval is based on the following findings:
1. The proposed subdivision meets the required standards and ordinance for a
subdivision.
2. The resulting uses on Parcel B meet all zoning ordinance requirements.
