French and Roslan& i.. CORNELIA SCEOOL-PARK -- SITE WORK Mr. French reviewed plans for the entire site including layout, grading, storm sewer, paving and plaitings. He also reviewed the agreement between the School District- and Village on cost arrange- ments. He reported on site work proposed to be done this year and what now is underway, The contract with Twin City Excavating calls for completion of the rough and finish grading of the north half of the site by August 1, 1960. The Boarddiscussedthe possibility of viether there was, sufficient money set aside to do all that the plan called for. They advised. Mri French to mark out with Mr. Kuhlman a schedule of priorities forhevelopment in case the time would come when something might have to Wait for development Until more funds ware available. !I. VALLEY VIEW SCHOOL -PARK In trying to work out an agreement with the School Board on a Dreliminary site studv W. Stevens movad after discussion that A site planning agresmant be negotiated on a 50-50 split of the plann- ing fee. Mr. Greer seconded the motion. It passed without dissent. 1II. REQUEST TO SELL CANDY POP ETC. AT HIGHLAND0 PARK BASEBALL FIELD. NO, French reported that Mx, Gil Braun had requested permission for his sixteen !ear old son to sell candy, pop, etc. at baseball games at Highlands Park. WLewis rare; vad and Stevens sac6nded that parks were hot to be used for private gain and that the request be denied. Motion passed© 1V. �POOL SEASOM TICKET SALES 0. French reported that sales were well ahead of a year ago at the same date. V. SALE OF LOT AT 66TH STREET AND CORNELIA DRIVE Mo bids were received. The Board discussed what might be done to interest a buyer and conjectured as to why no response to bid advertisement. -They advised that further efforts `e made to sell the lot, but left it to Mr. French, Mr. Hyde and Council to determine how to proceed.
