end.
The matter of neming of the Parks was raised by Mr. Weatherbee who said
that althovgh he had been designated as the Park Board menfoar to work on this,
he was reluctant to embark. on a newspaper article soliciting suggestions for
names without clearly ha-nng Council approval for such actiono The other
members felt this was wisp and suggested that no action be taken by

The matters of the official approval of the Council on the plans for
Cornelia Pazlc, Norwaindalle Parke 52nd and Arden was raised ard the �ark Board
unanimously cc -n -carred in the idea that the be, -:,,t z,,Tay to do thic would be to
arrange for a joint 0owicil.-Park Board meeting. Mr. French was asked to pro-
ceed to make this Joint meeting arrangement through the Village -Manager.
Mr. Brauer raised and ezqplained the problem, that if four baseball
monde were to be ready in 1959., it will be necessary to get approximately
100000 yds. more fill to make the fourth diamond possible. Mr. Brauer re-
ported that there was $25�7000 left in the developnent', funds for the further
improvement of Paw -ala. and that it would approximately 04000 to get the
fill to add the remainder needed to round out the area of the fourth baseball
diamond. He pointed out on the plans where the end of the existing fill was
and the drea that would need to be filled in crder to secure this. additional
field. After discussion, Mr. Stevens moved and Mr. Weatherbee seconded that
Council approval bs gou&&t to take bids for additional fill so that the
fourth baseball could be included in the deve-lopinen t program for 19513 and the
four baseball fields could then beready for use in 1959. The motion passed
unanimously,,
