SwIming Pool Neater.
The cost of the heater would run between $4000 - $50M.,
Mr. French felt that if money is spent on, this', wo would have
go to the Council for other needs on the pool; that there iann'
enough money for a pool, heatter. I
Mr, Strachauer askod what the difference would be to set P.
the heater now and Miat it would cost to set it uP later. That
having a heaterwould carry swinming to a longer periodo
The question was brought up by Hr. Crinkley if the heater
couldn't pay for itself, t1r. Stene w felt that we could produce
$2,000-2,000 more reg* tel that, a reduction in cost of gas line
is another factor in favor of purchasing a heater now.
Mr. Brauer said that the Gas Co. is making out costs and wM
present figures to us very soon,; Mry, Crinkley and Mr. Stevens
were both in favor of looking Into a heater, and after some
eussion was unanimous,j, but Mr. Stevens pointed out that a deci-
sions should be made soon. We should contact the Gas Co. right
away and get, an answer by Saturday morning,
Hr,French brough up the question about the changing of the chelk-
nel, and feels disposition should be, made regarding permit.
The qgestion & whether opposon to go ahead with plans was too,
strong was oon3idered,, and that, peopL-,- who were in favor either did not
show or did not speak up,,
Xr. Stevens fe2t that it was a mtter of degree. He felt that
there should be a compromise and that we have to V along with the sen-
timents of poople, residing near the paric. Hicnie tables,. backstoP, and
other smallitems arethe thing that are aggravating the residentso,
Suggested that wre take out aecond field arl leave. an open are*,,, and leave
the hockey rink at present area.
Mr. Hill felt that the basic design should rAt be spoiled by com-
promise. Ar. Hill 4* ;..d to continue application and reoomend
to Council tnat we develop play area including bridgeo Mr. Stevens se-
condod and the motion was carried.
The motion to approve inereased monthly payment ($1600.00) to Mr.
Harrison & Assoeiated In viev of the more rapid pace than anticipated
in the contract (as specified in the contract) was made by Mr. Hill"
seconded by- Y -,r,, Stevens and carried,.
