The meeting was called to order at 8 p. m. with Strachauer and
Lewis present.
The first Wednesday of each month of the year 1949 was
designated as the meeting night of the Park Board.
The matter of the Cascade Pump was brought up for discussion*
As Mr. Clark was not present, no decision was made. It was decided to
meet with all members present and talk the matter over and make a
suggestion to the Council concerning the repair and maintenance of the
Pump.
Strachauer moved that the 52nd & Arden rink be used.for hockey
on].,,v after six o'clock and that a sign be posted there reading "Hockey
after 6 p. m. only, by order of the Park Board". Seconded! carried.
Instructions were given to borrow, if possible, the ice scraper
from the Minneapolis Park Board to scrape the rinks at the Millpond and
Mirror Lake and that the rink at 52nd & Arden be flooded*
The petition for a rink on the pond on. Lakeview Drive was
discussed and it was decided to ask the Fire Department to scrape and
flood a portion of the pond.
The meeting was adjci-urned at 10 p. m.
