Meeting was called to order at 8 P. M.

Mr. Lewis reported that he had talked to Mr. Williams and lair. Hkoglund

about the property at 50th & Wooddale and would write them a letter stating
that the Village Council wanted to know before June lst what was to be done
with this property, that if this project was to be dropped, the property
would be returned to the Village.
Mr. Lewis, in charge of planting for the Park Board, said he had been
on a tour with Mr. Greguson of the Greguson Nursery. Mr. Greguson advised
planting some evergreens instead of annuals in some places. Mr. Lewis
was authorized to go ahead with that plan.
The secretary was instructed to have before June. lst, a map of the
Village showing all property used for park or.play ground purposes.
The pe.mple interested in the water in the millpond area asked that
the Park Board inform them two or three weeks in advance of the time the
pump will be turned off at the Cascade, so that they might be able to
take steps to keep the pump running.
Mr. Strachauer reported that Mr. Merriman had consented to take charge
of the baseball program again this summer and that he would do this for

Mr. Strachauer suggested that Mr. Lewis be in charge of the baseball
program this year and Mr. Strachauer be in charge of the swimming program.
Mr. Clark moved that an offer of :2500 be made for the Harvey
property. Seconded and carried.
It was decided to have a Park Board meeting on May 25th.
