Meeting was called to order a.L 8:00 P.M.
Members rresent — Messrs. Strachauer and Lewis
Mr. Strachauer suggested )urchasing for the Park Board, one single drawer
steel file of the type which ca.n be referred to easily, as the Parc Board
at this time has no file in which to keep records.
Board received a st.,A emeut from school district #17 covering costs of the shcool
buses for the 1949 swimming -grogram. Amount 4e1,092.00. This sum is according
to an agreeme! Lt w4-.ich had been made to the School Board rrior to the use of the
buses at the total cost of the Park Board to an e --tent no greater than the
amount charged in 19L,8, irrespective of milegge. The charge is baled uron
the number of miles run during 1948.
Motion by the Board to charge Village of Morningside Park Board prorata
per c -rata fee of swimming program on the basis of 78 Morningside children
participating. This action due to the fact that the Moriiingside Park Board
had collected a t5.00 particiration fee from each student who participated
in the grogram. The above ororata share of the cost was agreed to by the
Morningside Park Board pr6-,rious to the begi rung of the swL-nming program.
There will be no charge made at_ainst Morningside for a prorata share of the
cost of the baseball nrogram due to the fact that it had been ?previously
agreed to by the Ed;.na, and I-'iorningside Park Boards that the use of the
Morningside athletic field for practice and scheduled games would adequately
com-sensate .for coaching of the orningside participants.
The meeting was adjourned at 9:45 P.M.
