RESOLUTION NO. 2017-11
AUTHORIZING AMENDMENT TO RESIDENTIAL
RECYCLING GRANT AGREEMENT WITH HENNEPIN COUNTY
WHEREAS, pursuant to Minnesota Statutes, Chapter 115A.552, Counties shall ensure that residents have an
opportunity to recycle; and
WHEREAS, Hennepin County Ordinance 13 requires that each city implement and maintain a recycling program; and
WHEREAS,the Hennepin County Board at its November 29, 2016 meeting, adopted a funding policy to continue to
fund cities within Hennepin County residential recycling programs for the contract period of January I, 2017 to
December 31, 2020.
WHEREAS, in order to receive grant funds, the City must sign the agreement; and
WHEREAS, the City of Edina wishes to receive these grant funds each year.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Edina, Minnesota, that the City Council
accepts the agreement as proposed.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the City Council authorizes the Mayo , City Administrator- or his designee to
execute such Residential Recycling Grant Agreement with the County.
